Oh snap!
The new year is upon us! 2017 has been a busy but productive year for me. I’ve connected with some wonderful people, and broken ground on some projects that will expand my outreach to caregivers and those who serve them. Here are just a few things you can look forward to in the new year.
Blog Re-launch
I’m so grateful to those of you who have been following the Caregiver’s Village blog since its beginnings. The site is purposely modest in its design, with the goal of keeping information at the heart of everything. In 2018 though, I’m throwing some feathers and glitter on this thing. I want to make it a more appealing, useful and functional space for you to enjoy.
Writing and Editing Services
While my professional work is with older adults and people with disabilities, I’m a writer by trade (and by birth, I’ve decided). This year I launched my freelance business, D. Southern Writes. I offer a host of services to individuals and businesses. In 2018, I’ll be specializing in writing for businesses and organizations that support caregivers and older adults. Are you operating a growing caregiving business and need a writer or editor? Contact me for a free consultation.
Yell’s Bells
Be among the first to receive my newsletter! Just sign up here. It’s going to be full of goodies and soul good stuff. You’ll be the first to learn about new books, products and resources. I’ll also share some of my real time experiences working with caregivers. The newsletter will be delivered randomly throughout the year. So no worries about your inbox being flooded each week. As a former caregiver, I can appreciate the short, simple and sweet things life has to offer.
Market
The new Caregivers’ Village site will include a cozy little market where you’ll find special gifts for sale, for you or the caregiver you love.
Education/Presentations
I’m designing a few workshops and presentations that you’ll be able to order and customize for your group or company.
Blogcation
Caregivers’ Village will be on a blogcation until January 2018. Then I’ll be back with lots of fresh content and resources, all created with you in mind. I’ll also share my theme for 2018. If you’re celebrating holidays this month, I wish you a joyful and blessed season. And to everyone, I wish you warmth, love and an abundance of resources in the new year.
Take Care,
D. Southern
